Annual Shrine Sponsorhip

We strongly recommend those who are always busy and cannot participate in the weekly Dharma practice to join as sponsors for shrines. Your relatives, friends and colleagues are also welcome to sponsor the shrines of their choice. Merits will be dedicated to sponsors for the success of every endeavour he/she undertakes throughout the year.

Shrines represent the enlightened body (Buddha image), speech (dharma text) and mind (stupa) of the Buddha. Shrines also represent the Three Jewels with stupa, dharma text and Buddha images reminding us of the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha respectively. Hence, by sponsoring shrines, one is undertaking the activity of protecting the body, speech and mind of the Buddha as well as Three Jewels – which are greatly virtuous acts. Great merits are also accumulated as shrines provide a good environment for practitioners to uphold their Dharma practices, the images in the shrines inspire devotees to generate the mind of Buddhahood and make regular offerings to the Three Jewels.
